The Sky Watcher Explorer 130PS Reflector Astronomy Telescope with AZ5 Mount 10260, is the best grab-and-go telescope for simple visual astronomy. The Sky Watcher Explorer 130P also obtains excellent praise from more seasoned astronomers.

The AZ5 Deluxe Alt-Azimuth mount's charming, well-engineered, and simple design provide it outstanding stability and accurate control on both the horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (altitude) axes.

The Sky Watcher Explorer 130PS is a very capable all-rounder for the study of the Moon, bright planets, nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. It has an incredibly helpful 130mm of light gathering aperture and a fantastic parabolic primary mirror.

Premium-quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors, often found in larger, more expensive telescopes, are used in the Sky Watcher Explorer 130P models to eliminate spherical aberrations and produce even sharper, higher-contrast images that are full of detail. A parabolic mirror, or more precisely a "paraboloidal" mirror, is ground to a shape that perfectly focuses all incoming light rays on axis. Additionally, to lessen diffraction spikes and light loss, they have 0.5mm Ultra-Thin secondary mirror supports.

'Fast' focal length reflectors with spherical primary mirrors are prone to spherical aberrations, which are eliminated by the use of high-quality parabolic primary mirrors. All the light beams are parabolized by the mirrors to focus on a single point, producing clear, contrasty images that are rich in detail.
