For serious beginners and experienced astronomers alike, the Sky Watcher Explorer 150PL Reflector Astronomy Telescope with EQ3-2 Mount 10949-20448 is an excellent option. Combines a substantial 150mm light-gathering aperture with excellent parabolic optics. In comparison to the Sky Watcher Explorer 150P, which has a shorter focal length of f/5, this telescope's greater f/8 focal length allows for a higher magnification with a given eyepiece.

The Sky Watcher Explorer 150PL performs admirably for the viewing of the Moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and close double stars.

Expert observers give the outstanding EQ3-2 mount high ratings. For the professional astronomer, this robust mount combines precision, stability, and a plethora of other advantages. A sizable, adjustable aluminium tripod with an accessory tray supports the mount firmly. Quick and precise levelling is possible with a bubble level. Celestial object tracking can be done manually continuously using slow-motion control knobs.

On both the R.A. and DEC. axes, the precision mount has complete 360-degree worm-gear tracking controls. Celestial coordinates can be used to quickly locate a target using two metal setting circle dials. For assistance with polar alignment, a polarscope is an optional accessory. For auto-tracking reasons, single- and dual-axis D.C. motor drives are optionally installable.
