Pros:
Simple practical design, cap protects plug, goes on other end too so does not get lost so easily. Neat but not gaudy, with no stupid fashion influence.
Simple password protection when software installed.
Software can be just on USB drive, no need to have it on PC.
So can be used on any PC anywhere.
Cons:
Reading the pre-sale Toshiba info online, one might think that the USB drive arrives with security software installed and plug-and-play.
But not so - no software on the USB drive. No instructions came with it, so I had to write to Picstop and Toshiba to find out what to do next. Fortunately both replied. Picstop tried to help but knew little about the installation procedure. Toshiba got me going.
In the installation instructions there was a field "AES - Enable/Disable" which was Greek to me and the default seemed to be "Disable". But I Googled AES and it was an encoding system so I guessed I had to enable it.
One logged in with my password, it was not obvious how to copy/paste files into the safe partition and I had to write to Toshiba again.
It's all simple once you know, but most of us have to be helped with non-computer-speak explanations.
Conclusion:
Very happy now, and set-up would have been a breeze with instructions in plain English.
