happy customer

I found the telescope relatively easy to set up. I am a novice stargazer, so largely unfamiliar with telescopes. I am growing in confidence the more I use the scope and very happy with the service and the quality of the product.

So far so good, due to the weather I've only used it once outdoors. The quality of product is good, instructions were easy to follow, took a while to get to grips with the tripod, that's me not using one before, but with a bit of play in the house got that sussed now. The images of the Moon and Orion's Belt were great, clear and detailed. I'm a novice with this equipment, but it's ideal. I can't wait for clearer sky's. A lot of websites suggest getting a Barlow Lens! I might get one later, but for now things are good. Previously I bought a novices 70mm scope for about £80 quid, that was rubbish compared to this. Recommended.

Straight to the Moon and beyond!
Sunday, 31 January 2021  |

Telescope is absolutely beautiful, powerful and easy to use after reading the manual and a few other video tutorials of course, but once all that setting up is done, youíll be be looking at the sky in no time. So far Iíve been able to gaze at the moon with the 10mm and 20mm eyepiece (with the quite essential help of the finderscope) and it looks fantastically terrific.

Also, thanks to PicStop as delivery was quick and well packed without any issues.

Choose a different mount
Tuesday, 26 January 2021  |

The optics on the telescope are great. The mount is really frustrating though and is really wobbly too. If it came on az mount it would suit beginners better

Great images available with this scope
Tuesday, 19 January 2021  |

My son in law has spent some time now getting to know the scope and how to set it up correctly and he is very impressed with the images he can see with it.
Quality piece of kit for a reasonable price.

Good scope
Monday, 17 August 2020  |

This is my first telescope, I wanted something that would be OK for a beginner, but something I wouldn't outgrow too quickly.
A bit of research showed that this kind of scope was towards the top of the range for the beginners, which seemed to be what I was aiming for.

I paid and it was delivered, it was the cheapest I could find for this model, and it arrived in 3 days. Setting it up was straightforward, and I was looking at the moon, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars that night.

The supplied eyepieces aren't great, but that's pretty normal - enough to get you started. I've since bought a better eyepiece and a 2x barlow lens to give me some more options.

The mount is a bit on the cheap side, but it's functional and once you've figured out how to do a reasonable polar alignment it's easy to keep objects in the eyepiece with the slow motion RA control.

I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm sure I'll spend far too much money on my new hobby in the future!
