Discover our Solar System with the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ. You’ll be ready to observe in minutes thanks to the quick and easy no-tool setup. The 130EQ provides bright, clear images of the Moon, planets, star clusters, and more for great nighttime viewing.

The AstroMaster Manual German Equatorial telescope mount comes with two slow motion control knobs that allow you to make fine pointing adjustments to the telescope in both Right Ascension and Declination axes, also referred to as RA and DEC.

Accessories include a 20mm and 10mm eyepiece, a smartphone adapter, T-Adapter/Barlow lens, and a finderscope. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications for low and high powered views. The 20mm has a built-in erect image corrector. The Barlow & T-Adapter can be used as a 2X Barlow right out of the box. Insert any 1.25” eyepiece into the chamber and you’ll enjoy double the magnification, while retaining all the eye relief of the inserted eyepiece.

Smartphone Adapter - Image celestial or terrestrial objects with this smartphone adapter. With its light, rigid frame, this accessory allows you to connect any smartphone to any telescope eyepiece with an outside diameter of 34mm. The additional magnification provided by the eyepiece allows your phone to capture great images of the Moon and planets. This adapter installs easily by placing the smartphone over the telescope eyepiece and tightening the knobs to securely lock your phone in place. The adapter accommodates most phones with the case on, but some large and/or bulky phone cases (including folio style cases) may need to be removed for the phone to fit in the adapter.

So far so good
22 September 2024  |

Ordered this as a gift for our son’s 19th birthday. He has been interested in astronomy for a while and using some Celestron binoculars. We thought it was time to try a telescope. None of us are particularly knowledgeable, but he is doing well with it and working it out. The telescope is easy to set up and straight forward to use. Son has enjoyed getting some really good views of the moon. He hasn’t viewed on to stars yet, just learning how to focus and track and not moving the telescope when changing lenses! Son is very pleased with it and we hope to be able to take it up on the Quantocks and on to Exmoor for some really good views of the sky. He has taken some good photos of the moon too, so he’s pleased with that aspect of it too, although he hadn’t thought much about astrophotography he is happy with taking some photos. Will see if he goes down that path any further. The whole family have enjoyed having a look.

Celestron 130EQ Telescope
06 January 2022  |

The telescope mount is not to difficult to assemble. I am just a beginner as far as astronomy goes but it seems to have everything I need at this present time. I'm sure as I gain confidence and experience with the telescope I discover its limitations.

First purchase on this site and very satisfied
06 January 2022  |

I received my item very quickly and the packaging was fine. I have not had time to test the telescope, but I have had no problem assembling it. It looks very good quality and I am looking forward to testing it this summer. But from the comments left on this telescope I think I will not be surprised.
