Velbon has been recognised as a leader in the design, development and manufacture of tripods of the highest quality. The Velbon Sherpa 450R tripod is an aluminium tripod equipped with the 3-way panhead PH157Q. The head is die-cast metal, and strongly constructed.
It also has the Quick-release platform system that incorporates a one-touch handle that allows locking of both pan and tilt movements with one twist. The handle is mounted on the left this allows the user to keep their right hand free for focusing and operating a camera or scope.
The Sherpa 450R tripod features a slanting tooth geared elevator for smooth adjustment, plus a friction adjuster that enables tension adjustment of centre-column elevator.
