Excellent terrestrial spotting scope
Friday, 3 June 2011  |

Well packaged scope and includes a soft case and tripod adapter. The optics are good quality with little vignetting. Unlike the Regal, the Ultima does not accept 1.25 inch eyepieces so you are limited to the zoom eyepiece provided. If you are using it for digital photography you'll need an appropriate adapter for your camera and will need to cover the cameras viewfinder when taking photos to avoid flare. A remote shutter release and a very solid tripod would help reduce vibration. With care, decent results can be obtained. All-in-all excellent value for money
