I recently upgraded to a Panasonic FZ38 which was just a little bit bigger than my previous bridge camera so I needed a new bag. I have a neck injury which affects use of hands so I have to be very careful about weight of kit and how easy it is to get into a bag. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone and it comes in a range of sizes to fit your needs.
Excellent stitching and quality of materials used. Does not state anywhere how waterproof this bag is. Centre seam on front pocket you can see daylight through so could do with waterproof taping on inside as this the pocket for little bits and pieces such as memory cards and batteries.
Storm flap over zip on lid flap is free moving so zip is easily accessible. Before purchasing I was concerned that when bag is worn over shoulder the wide shoulder strap attachment points immediately below the lidflap might impede unzipping the lid down the two short sides - it does to a certain extent but the zips are of high quality and very free moving so if you unzip across the front then just lift the lid to get access to your camera, the side part unzips itself. (I hope that makes sense).
Divisions are firmly attached by strong velcro so moving them is a bit of a wrestle but then they stay where you put them. Most people I know set their camera bag up and then leave it - its not something you would be altering out in the field.
It is a bit of a tardis - for its size you get a lot of space inside but without compromising on padding. You could easily get an SLR and spare lens in it. Small pockets on outside and moveable partitions mean that not only can I carry camera, lens hood, numerous filters, batteries, memory cards but I also had mobile phone, wallet, notebook, pen, business cards, inhaler, sunblock, sunglasses, and SPACE left over!! So I just had one small bag with everything in it, no weighed down pockets.
Finally it is a neat design and just looks like a discrete unisex shoulder bag -for the security conscious it does not scream camera bag.
