Essential for earlier Fuji and Olympus cameras but no longer used for recent models. Availability of these cards is declining as a result and can be expensive from some sources. Picstop price is very good, much he same as when I bought the first 2Gb card in 2004. Service also excellent - purchase while they are still available. (Posted on 26/12/2011)

I came across XD technology early in 2004 when i bought my first Fuji Finepix camera. Over the next seven years, XD cards and camera (inclusing its successor, a FinePix -9600) have bounced on and off aircraft, ships, cars, bikes etc.

the only time losta picture was down to my own stupidity.

Sometimes fiddly to handle when removing the card from the camera - but that's the price for small and compact! (Posted on 10/05/2011)
