Charging Formula:
(mah) eg 2000mah x1.2 (Voltage) / (Charge Current) eg. 500 mA = Charging time in hours
for example using the Ansmann Global Line EC800 Battery Charger with 4 x AA 2700mAh batteries we have the following result:
(2700mah x 1.2v) / 800 mA = 4.05 hrs.jpg)
The formula can easily be related to many other chargers and batteries, you just need the following 3 elements:
Battery capacity - eg: 2700 mAh
Battery voltage - eg: 1.2 volts
Charge Current - 800 mA
This is a simpe guide to calculating battery charge times which can be affected by many factors, such as change in temperature, charge current etc.
