xD Picture Cards are an ultra-compact memory card format that has been developed jointly by Fuji and Olympus and was introduced in 2002. The speed of data transfer is dependent on camera's on board controller & shooting modes.
The xD Picture card format is currently being fazed out by Olympus and they have replaced the format in new cameras with Compact Flash cards and Micro SD / Micro SDHC cards. Fuji have already stopped production of the xD Picture card and now use SD / SDHC cards and Compact Flash cards in their cameras.
xD Picture cards have previously been available in the following types: xD card, xD Card Type M, xD Card Type H.
xD Picture cards are currently available from Olympus in the Type M+ format, please use our product finder to check compatibility.
