This scope to me is an excellent choice, can't fault the operation or the image from it.
The only ninor draw back is no moon filter to fit.
Apart from that a very good scope

Love it!
20 September 2017  |

I bought this really after reading a few reviews on using spotting scopes for star gazing. It has turned out really well. I managed to see Saturn the other night and even the rings around it. I can defiantly recommended this bit of kit for its price and it's quality. Just make sure you get a good sturdy tripod! If you don't have a tripod, research a good few brands and then look on gumtree. You can often get good prices on there. I ended up getting a brand called velbon which has been very good.

Superb scope at such a low cost.
07 November 2012  |

I am very impressed by the quality of this spotting scope, both the optics the build quality and fantastic value for money. I use it for target shooting and need a scope which can define shot holes in a target without any aberation and in low light conditions. A similar scope by another manufacturer would cost 3 or 4 times the cost of the Celestron Ultima. This scope more than satisfies my requirements. Its the scope that Volkswagen never built !
