In 1992 LaCie began co-creating with world-famous designers such as Neil Poulton, Hecht & F. A. Porsche, this was in a bid to enhance the look & appeal of the hard drive. Known primarily for external hard drives LaCie also produce the following products: Desktop Hard Drives, Mobile Hard Drives, Network Storage, RAID, SAFE Hard Drives, Multimedia Hard Drives, USB Flash Drives, DVD, & Displays. The LaCie Rugged is arguably one of their most successful products and is available in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB, 1TB, 1.5TB & 2TB capacities.
